The Beyond the Sea team is delighted to announce that its laboratory vessel and kite traction demonstrator has arrived in Lorient. The SeaKite will be in Brittany for a month, at two events where it will be one of the star attractions: the start of the CIC Transat and the NAVEXPO boat show.
The crew made a great kite crossing from the Bassin d’Arcachon to the port of Lorient. All the flight configurations were tested and validated with a kite of 50m² in flight and 100 metres of lines. The dynamic and static automatic piloting modes proved their worth in difficult wind and sea conditions.
This crossing was an opportunity to put our SeaKite system to the test and appreciate the progress made over the last few months. All the configurations validated during our tests on the Bay of Arcachon worked perfectly offshore, as expected.
