In response to these challenges, Beyond the Sea supports fishermen today with kite traction solutions designed to reduce operating costs, CO2 emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.

SeaKite® is an automated kite traction solution, perfectly suited to fishing vessels such as trawlers and longliners from 20 meters, whether newbuilds or retrofits.

Because the pursuit of ever more sustainable fishing also depends on innovation, Cap Bourbon chose to equip one of its vessels with a kite. Everything was thought out beforehand to adapt this technology to the vessel and its operating conditions. The first trials are conclusive: they already show a speed gain of 1 to 1.5 knots and promise up to 20% fuel savings.
