Emergency propulsion for the safety of all vessels
Designed by Yves Parlier following his personal experiences in offshore racing and a serious breakdown, LibertyKite® enables sailors to move their boat in the event of dismasting or engine failure. Simple to launch, it requires only two attachment points on the vessel. Deployed in less than five minutes, it is self-stabilizing and requires no handling once airborne, making it an extremely practical and reliable safety device.
It helps avoid towing costs and the risk of additional accidents that could cause secondary damage. The color and flight height of LibertyKite® also make it visible to other vessels.

LibertyKite® provides additional propulsion, allowing the vessel to resume its course, move away from a dangerous area, and reach a port.
I deployed the kite to stabilize the boat. It held all night without any problems; it is simple and fun, and the orange kite makes the boat visible to other vessels.
