During the 2000-2001 Vend\u00e9e Globe, Yves Parlier dismasted in the southern seas. He still managed to finish the race with a makeshift rig, set up in New Zealand. This gave him an idea: to propose a kite capable of propelling ships in difficulty, particularly in the event of dismasting. He then wanted to develop his idea on the world’s biggest boats, with the ambition of creating sails adapted to cargo ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
